In creating this really unusual necklace and earring set I selected yellow turquoise "bone" beads, a yellow turquoise rose flower as a center drop, 8 mm black stone beads and a sterling silver toggle clasp. The necklace is 17 1/2" in length and the center drop rose is 35 mm in diameter.

Is yellow turquoise real turquoise? Yellow turquoise is said to be natural turquoise mined in China. Yellow turquoise tends to be softer than most other turquoise and is sometimes wax-treated to harden and preserve the surface.
