In creating this necklace I selected graduated round malachite beads, green seed beads and a sterling silver spring hoop and eye clasp. The necklace is a long 26" in length and the beads vary from about 4 mm to 12 mm. The malachite beads were imported as a necklace from Africa. As these imported necklaces are usually strung on a light weight thread with a plated clasp, I prefer to redo them into a more quality piece using sterling silver findings and tigertail.
