Another exceptionally beautiful ruby red colored candy jade necklace and earring set! Here I combined faceted ruby red candy jade teardrop beads and 6 mm beads, 4 mm faceted opalite faceted beads and sterling silver findings including a lobster clasp, extension chain, crimp covers and ear wires. The necklace can be adjusted from 16" to 19" and the earrings are 1 3/8" plus the sterling silver ear wires.
Candy jade is an interesting stone made of what the Chinese refer to as "Bai Yu," or White Jade by its common name. This type of natural stone is hard and white or semi-translucent white in color. After being cut and polished, the stones go through a complex color enhancing process, penetrating from surface to center with wonderful colors, thus their common name, Candy Jade.
