   Magnetic jewelry is popular and for many, including myself, it seem to help alleviate joint pain.  I create magnetic jewelry that is attractive and functional.  Opinions vary as to the true effectiveness of wearing magnetic jewelry, so select my jewelry for it's beauty and originality and/or for possible pain mitigation.   The magnetic clasps I use are rated at 5000 Gauss.  I don't use a clasp when creating magnetic jewelry wraps, rather the super strength beads (2500 - 3000 Gauss) hold the wrap together.    I use both regular and super strength beads in my other jewelry.  Beads referred to as pearl are magnetic beads with a pearl coating.

   Limited medical studies indicate that magnetic therapy seems to decrease pain in the post-polio population when applied to trigger points for a period of time.  I am searching the web to find a correlation between:

The magnetic products used in these tests and the type of beads I use in my magnetic jewelry with regard to strength

The specific placement of the test products on a trigger point for limited periods of time as compared to wearing magnetic jewelry for extended periods of time.

  All I can claim for sure is that I have far less pain when wearing magnetic jewelry.  Perhaps my good results can be attributed to the fact that I am a polio survivor.  Magnetic jewelry works for me!
