Candy jade is an interesting stone made of what the Chinese refer to as "Bai Yu," or White Jade by its common name. This type of natural stone is hard and white or semi-translucent white in color. After being cut and polished, the stones go through a complex color enhancing process, penetrating from surface to center with wonderful colors, thus their common name, Candy Jade.
Here I combined lots of magenta colored candy jade beads including 8 mm faceted rondelle beads, 15 X 20 faceted pillow beads and a large faceted teardrop shaped bead as a center drop and a sterling silver toggle clasp. The necklace is 21 1/2" in length and the faceted teardrop bead is 40 x 30 x 7 mm.
