The Sara Jane Collection!

Ruby red dyed candy jade is a very royal looking color! Here I combined 6 and 10 mm ruby red candy jade beads and lots of sterling silver findings including 10 mm bead caps, 4 mm Bali beads, Bali spacer beads, ear wires, chain and a lobster claw clasp. The necklace can be adjusted from 16" to 20" and the earrings are one inch plus the ear wire.
Candy jade is an interesting stone made of what the Chinese refer to as "Bai Yu," or White Jade by its common name. This type of natural stone is hard and white or semi-translucent white in color. After being cut and polished, the stones go through a complex color enhancing process, penetrating from surface to center with wonderful colors, thus their common name, Candy Jade.

About four inches of adjustment in the necklace! The 10 mm bead caps weight just over half a gram each and I added lots of these.

Although my scanner doesn't show it, the ruby red of the beads are semi-translucent.
